The Loova Tuleviku Kool preschool helps all 6–7-year-olds get ready for school. It is a great fit for children looking for exciting, educational and creative activities alongside their regular kindergarten programme.

Learning is based on the settlement method, just as at Loova Tuleviku Kool. At the start of the year the children receive a map of an imaginary uninhabited island, which they playfully "move to", and there they work through different situations and topics. The learning focuses on values education: each month introduces new values and character traits that support the growth of a caring, enterprising, creative and independent person.

THE AIMS OF PRESCHOOL ARE:

– To practise being part of a group and working towards a goal.
– To develop creativity, independence and an active attitude.
– To develop the ability and confidence to express oneself.
– To develop thinking and problem-solving skills.
– To develop the skills of being human (me and my feelings and thoughts, me and others, my wishes and goals, etc.).
– To learn reading/writing, maths, science and social studies, culture, art and crafts in an integrated, playful way.
– To learn to cooperate in learning with each other, with the teacher and with parents.
– To offer a positive learning experience.

The aim is NOT:
– To prepare the child for entrance tests at various schools.
– To train the child to sit still for 45 minutes.
– To fill in workbooks.
– To teach children to follow orders without question.
